Absolut Care of Endicott provides short-term rehabilitation and 24/7 skilled nursing care. Has a secured unit for dementia and memory impaired individuals.
Inpatient health care facilities that provide nursing and personal care over an extended period of time (usually more than 30 days) for people who require convalescent care at a level which is less than that provided in an acute facility and/or for chronically ill or frail elderly individuals or people with disabilities.
BACK EDUCATION PROGRAM: This program, offered by a physical therapist, teaches proper body mechanics to aid recovery & prevent recurrence of back injuries. Classes are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month. Pre-registration, fee & physician referral required. To register call 891-2350.DIABETES EDUCATION: Monthly 5 session program held Mon-Fri will assist those with diabetes to take a more active role in their care. $45.00 fee for 5 sessions or $10.00 for individual class. Family members & caregivers are encouraged to attend free of charge. Registration required, call 891-2540.FREEDOM FROM SMOKING: 8 session program sponsored by the American Lung Association is designed to help people quit smoking. The hospital periodically conducts free health seminars in the hospital community room on timely health topics. To learn about upcoming seminars & screenings call 447.6205.HOSPITAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM: The hospital's well-organized volunteer program coordinates the time & talent so generously offered by people in the community.
