WWAMH’s Residential Programs are houses and apartments where individuals with psychiatric disabilities live while developing skills needed for independence. Programs are designed to offer different levels of support to a person in their efforts to achieve his/her highest level of well-being, while reducing costly hospitalizations by providing caring and skilled intervention in times of crisis. Services promote a person’s capabilities through companionship, education, counseling, vocational training, and respite, and the duration of each person’s stay is based on their individual needs. These programs are available to those individuals who are of 18 years of age or older.

Community Residences: group home environment which provides a high level of support for people in the earliest stages of recovery. The overall goal is to provide short-term, focused skill development in a home-like setting.

Community Living Apartments: The Community Living Apartments Program offers two types of living arrangements. Both include support and guidance through individualized service plans created in partnership with the service recipient.

Supported Housing: Supported Housing helps those individuals ready to leave psychiatric centers or community residence programs, as well as homeless people with psychiatric disorders, in finding quality, permanent and independent housing for themselves. A person is assisted in locating and moving into a new home by finding the location, evaluating a lease, selecting furniture, etc., all while receiving financial assistance throughout the process based on the individual’s needs. After having settled into a new home, clients regularly work with the WWAMH Supported Housing staff to maintain stable living in the community.

Housing First: Housing First provides safe, affordable, permanent housing for 18 individuals with histories of being homeless as well as being disabled by mental illness and/or substance abuse. The priority of this housing model is to provide stable housing in an empowering, supportive environment with the goals of increasing residential stability, enhancing tenant skills and fostering greater self-determination. The program consists of 12 one bedroom and 6 studio apartments, a community area and a large fenced in yard.

The Pavilion Premier Assisted Living at Vestal Park offers services to seniors and frail elderly who require daily assistance. 24-hour care and supervision, assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, bathing, medication assistance. Case management is provided; nursing and therapy services available as needed.

Provides subsidized independent living apartments for persons age 62 and older or physically disabled, able to live independently (as aide services are not provided).

This 13-story high-rise consists of 250 one-bedroom units. Resident services include a transportation program for medical appointments and weekly grocery shopping; a mini-grocery store in the building; an exercise program; and on-site security.

Also acts as a host site for the Niagara Nutrition Program, which is open to the public.

the Legacy at Grande’ Vie offers discrete licensed care including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, Memory Care, Respite Care. Our professionally trained and experienced team is deeply committed. Licensed nurses, case managers, and compassionate care aides create a worry-free setting where individualized attention and respectful support surpasses typical adult home care and offers an affordable alternative to nursing home care.

Provides care levels which are personalized and range from light support to comprehensive assistance with all Activities of Daily Living ADL's including incontinence management, and nurses dispense medications. Residents enjoy three restaurant style meals, laundry and housekeeping services, daily scheduled activities and a fully stocked bistro. Also offers respite care with a minimum of 30 days. Accessible housing is a primary concern of disabled individuals seeking assistance towards an independent lifestyle. Southwestern Independent Living Center maintains a list of subsidized housing options which are accessible or can easily be modified. Southwestern Independent Living Center staff will assist individuals in locating an adapting present or future homes to the individual's own needs.

These facilities consist of studio, one and two bedroom apartments designed, equipped and staffed for active senior living, but encompassing many special services for adults requiring assistance with ADL activities of daily living in a residential secure environment and provides on-site nurse and physician services, provides 3 daily meals, and optional specialized personal care support plans for those who need extra care.
