Program Catholic Health System Healthconnection:

Catholic Health System Healthconnection

  • Description:

    BACK EDUCATION PROGRAM:
    This program, offered by a physical therapist, teaches
    proper body mechanics to aid recovery & prevent
    recurrence of back injuries. Classes are held on the
    1st Tuesday of each month. Pre-registration, fee &
    physician referral required. To register call
    891-2350.
    DIABETES EDUCATION:
    Monthly 5 session program held Mon-Fri will assist
    those with diabetes to take a more active role in
    their care. $45.00 fee for 5 sessions or $10.00
    for individual class. Family members & caregivers
    are encouraged to attend free of charge.
    Registration required, call 891-2540.
    FREEDOM FROM SMOKING:
    8 session program sponsored by the American Lung
    Association is designed to help people quit smoking.
    For upcoming dates & to register call the American
    Lung Association at 691-5864. Covered through
    some insurance plans.
    FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH SCREENINGS & HEALTH SEMINARS:
    The hospital holds a variety of free health screenings
    throughout the year. The hospital periodically conducts
    free health seminars in the hospital community room
    on timely health topics. To learn about upcoming
    seminars & screenings call 447.6205.
    HOSPITAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM:
    The hospital's well-organized volunteer program
    coordinates the time & talent so generously offered by
    people in the community. Open to the public, those
    interested in volunteering at the hospital can call
    volunteer office at 891-2545.
    STUDENT INTERN PROGRAM & STUDENT CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:
    The hospital provides valuable, hands-on experience to
    students in a variety of fields. Please contact the CHS
    at 706.2541.
    FREE MEETING SPACE TO OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS:
    The 100 seat capacity community room at the hospital
    is made available to non-profit outside organizations
    for meetings at no charge. For scheduling & more
    information call the Facilities Department
    at 891-2491.
    PHYSICIAN REFERRAL SERVICE:
    The Catholic Health System's physical referral service at 447.6205
    helps people seeking family doctors & physician
    specialists. The service is answered by the
    Health connection's staff & is a free service to the
    WNY community.
    NUTRITON COUNSELING:
    Provides one on one nutrition counseling with a registered dietician.
