Community Arts programs offer creative, social, and recreational opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Overseen by Broome County Parks and Recreation, the Forum Theater is available for diversified arts & entertainment, including: Broadway Theater League, Binghamton Philharmonic, and Tri-Cities Opera.
The Broome County Arts Council is a local arts advocate and cultural information resource for the art community and general public. They collaborate on and encourage participation in projects and initiatives that promote the arts as an engine of cultural growth and economic development in Greater Binghamton and Broome County.
• Gives members opportunities to participate in arts programs in their communities at for free or at a low cost.
• Must be on public assistance and present an active benefits card when using the pass.
• Pass allows participants to reserve two tickets.
• Wheelchair transportation available upon request. Call for more details.
The Roberson Museum and Science Center offers classes for adults/children in drawing, painting, ceramics, computer design, and photography. Programs available in astronomy and other scientific pursuits. Facilities include: Roberson Mansion, Edwin A Link Gallery, Heritage Area Visitor Center, Planetarium, exhibit galleries, Kopernick Observatory. Exhibitions vary, call for more information.
Museum, Aquarium, Parks (MAP) Passes are available to Poughkeepsie Public Library District library card holders* who are 18 years of age or older, have a valid email address, and have no outstanding fines, fees, or overdue materials. *Passes to FDR Presidential Library & Museum are available for all Mid-Hudson Libraries Card Holders.
Passes are limited to one (1) pass per day per family and (2) passes per family within a 30-day period, except where noted. We strongly recommend that you call or visit the destination’s website to confirm their policies and hours prior to your visit. Passes typically exclude special exhibits or events.
Passes are available in two formats: Print on Demand and Pick Up/Return at Library. Print on Demand passes are reserved for the day of visit. You can print out the pass at home, or you can contact the library to print it for you. Pick Up/Return at Library passes are reserved for the day of pick up, and can be borrowed for three (3) days (including pick up date).

The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor offers educational programs as well as organized tours. Events and activities throughout the year to commemorate significant military-related anniversaries or historic events related to the Purple Heart and its history. Offers a "Roll of Honor" database of Purple Heart recipients.
First Ward Action Council (FWAC) provides assistance to Binghamton first and second ward residents with issues affecting neighborhoods, such as neighborhood re-development and improvement. Maintains information on housing and provides referrals. Provides assistance to neighborhood watch groups and other community organizations. Offers internships in conjunction with Binghamton University.
