The Suffolk County Division of Community Mental Hygiene’s Single Point of Access (SPOA) coordinates high-end mental health services for children and youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and their families in Suffolk County. The SPOA offers a centralized, coordinated referral process using a universal referral form. The SPOA represents a consensus among all high-end community based and residential programs to ensure appropriate service delivery to the most needy children and youth.
