Broome County Parks and Recreation provides various programs such as: group outings, picnic shelters, nature programs and special activities.
PiYo is a Pilates and yoga inspired, high-energy, low-impact class set to music. A mat is used, sneakers are optional.
The Jewish Community Center (JCC) offers a variety of fitness and workout classes. Personal training, group exercise classes, pool access and aquatic programs, as well as multiple sports programs. Programs and times vary. Call for more information
The Broome County Urban League (BCUL) runs a technology center where free or inexpensive computer classes are taught. Learn Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, Windows, Online Basics, Keyboarding, or take an Introduction to Computers class. A free open lab is available to anyone who needs a computer.
The Bonesaver Program, operated by RSVP, offers effective wellness and safe weight exercise programs for seniors targeting multiple risk factors for osteoporosis. No fee. Call for class schedule and locations.
Assistance with computer literacy at various locations in the community. SUNY Broome and Binghamton University student volunteers answer technology questions during drop-in hours.
Broome County Senior Games help senior citizens to stay active through competetive athletic events. Anyone 55+ can particpate. There is no residency requirement. Games run August-November.
Museum, Aquarium, Parks (MAP) Passes are available to Poughkeepsie Public Library District library card holders* who are 18 years of age or older, have a valid email address, and have no outstanding fines, fees, or overdue materials. *Passes to FDR Presidential Library & Museum are available for all Mid-Hudson Libraries Card Holders.
Passes are limited to one (1) pass per day per family and (2) passes per family within a 30-day period, except where noted. We strongly recommend that you call or visit the destination’s website to confirm their policies and hours prior to your visit. Passes typically exclude special exhibits or events.
Passes are available in two formats: Print on Demand and Pick Up/Return at Library. Print on Demand passes are reserved for the day of visit. You can print out the pass at home, or you can contact the library to print it for you. Pick Up/Return at Library passes are reserved for the day of pick up, and can be borrowed for three (3) days (including pick up date).

The Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome provides wide range of sports/athletic programs designed to develop physical fitness and skills. Programs include: Boxing, gymnastics, soccer, baseball and basketball.
