EmPower New York Program

  • Description:

    NYSERDA's EmPower New York Program offers no-cost energy services to low income (i.e. HEAP-eligible) homeowners and renters. These services include electrical reduction measures and home performance measures. Examples of upgrades clients could receive (all at no charge) may include: replacement of inefficient appliances, new energy-efficient lighting, insulation to make the home or apartment warm in the winter/cool in the summer, air sealing to reduce drafts, and on-site energy education for additional strategies. Serves Broome, Chemung, Chenango, and Tioga Counties.
