The Foreclosure Prevention Project helps low and moderate income homeowners that have been sued for foreclosure. Assistance may include advice, brief service, representation in court settlement conferences and negotiations with the lender, and/or representation in litigation. We also assist homeowners who have been victimized by foreclosure rescue scams.
The project involves partnerships with ten community agencies and serves all 16 counties in our service area. If you have received a Summons and Complaint to institute foreclosure proceedings or have been taken advantage of by a foreclosure rescue scam, please call the Legal Aid Society.
