Home Care Service Unit

  • Description:

    The Home Care Services Unit (HCSU) authorizes home care services funded through a variety of program sources. A variety of home care services are available to Medicaid recipients, allowing them to remain at home, thus preventing more costly nursing home placements. Home care services include home health aide or personal care service, personal emergency response system, and housekeeping.

    The Home Care Services Unit is responsible for the broad oversight of home care services for the following programs:

    Assisted Living Program

    Care at Home

    Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program

    Personal Emergency Response System

    Title XX housekeeping & chore services
