Parent Mentor Project

  • Description:

    The Southern Tier Independence Center (STIC), operates the Parent Mentor Project. A Parent Mentor Advocate, who is the parent of a child with a developmental disability, provides mentoring and support to other parents and assists them in navigating the complex special education system. Services provided by STIC?s Parent Mentor Advocate are available to parents of children with OPWDD eligibility.
